That would be best, but if I was a top striker I would be thinking who will be setting up the chances on a plate for me as if I sign up too soon it would be just my luck that Payet keeps banging them in and is off to Real or Barca. Happy for Payet, he comes across as a humble, level headed person.... His success is fully deserved and warranted.
Personally I hope we keep him, even if we're offered a kings ransom. I remember how the Spuds spunked the 100 mill they got for Bale.... Keep him and find a couple more this window in the elk of Lanzini and Antonio... With the youth we are developing we'll be competing at the top of the table for years to come....

I'm going to be very worried if we let him go for less than his value to US (who gives a fuck about his value to any buying club?).
The OS needs a big club. If we aren't going to be a big club, it will be a weight around our neck.
We need to keep him, or get enough wedge to get enough quality to cover his loss (obviously, we are unlikely to find the next Payet, but upgrades in other positions can make up for the downgrade in Payet's).
And, of course, actually spend this money wisely.

Payet looked limited tonight (on occasions) because Giroud is so static in middle of attack. Otherwise he was by some distance best player on field. If Deschamps drops Giroud (which isn't going to happen) or plays Dimitri in middle France have real chance.
And yes. Loads of beers & some whiskies on board.

It's funny how some of you think. I'm just proud as fuck he's our player and I love being West Ham at the moment. One of the best players in the world doing his stuff on the world stage and our manager as the first pundit in a tournament I might learn something from.
Enjoy the ride for fuck sake, don't put any money on England and you'll enjoy the Euros.

My pessimistic side says that too. Apart from going to City or Manu,he won't go to another English team.
He'll go to the team he supported as a boy,which is possibly Real or Barcelona.They could offer him a 3/4 year deal worth 250K a week easily and afford £60m even £70M.
It's all about instant success,win the League for us and possibly the CL and you can have anything. Suarez went to Barcelona at 27.
We should offer him,again,anything he wants.Tell him the dream he bought into is still alive and he is the man at the top of that dream.
The only way he shall go is to his boyhood dream club.If it's none of the before mentioned he'll stay.
No amount of money should be able to persuade the club to sell.It's all about if Dimitri wants to stay.

Not read the whole thread on account of being bladdered but fuck me sideways, that was a performance, albeit Romania, they tugged Pogba, put him central and he saved the day under inordinate pressure with the goal of the tournament
